Talk to an AdvisorYour first 4 weeks with a computer. No background needed — we start from "this is how you hold a mouse" and finish with you confidently using Windows, files, the internet, and email on your own.
The Basic Computer Course at Digital School Nepal is built for one person: someone who has never used a computer before, or who has used one a little but feels lost the moment something goes wrong. In four weeks of hands-on practice, you go from complete beginner to a confident, independent user who can sit down at any Windows computer and get things done.
This is not a course about memorising menus. You learn by doing — typing real letters, organising your own folders, browsing the websites you actually use, and writing your first emails. By the end of week four, you've sent emails to real addresses, created and printed a document, organised a folder of personal files, and used Google to find answers to your own questions.
You will leave this course able to: use Windows comfortably, manage files and folders, type at a usable speed, browse the internet safely, use email professionally, install and uninstall software, and troubleshoot small problems on your own without panicking. That's not a bullet list of features — that's a person who can use a computer.
Dipesh has taught beginner computer courses to over 600 students in Kathmandu over the past five years — from 12-year-olds in summer camps to grandparents picking up a mouse for the first time. He holds a Bachelor's in Computer Application (BCA) from Tribhuvan University and is certified in Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS).
His teaching style is famously patient: he believes nobody is "bad with computers" — they've just been taught by people who were impatient. He teaches in both Nepali and English depending on what the class is comfortable with.
Your fee covers everything — tuition, your own machine in the lab, all course materials, printed handouts, and your completion certificate. There are no extra charges, no hidden costs. Sibling discount available — ask us about it when you enroll.
Most students who finish the Basic Computer Course continue with one of these. We'll help you choose during your final week — based on what you enjoyed and what you want to do with these skills.
